Hotel Maison Rouge Strasbourg

The Maison Rouge hotel has been an integral part of Strasbourgs hospitality landscape for centuries. Until 1973, it was located directly on the Kleber square. Today, the 3 star hotel occupies the red building right next to the Galeries Lafayette department store.

Location
Right in the city center, the Maison Rouge hotel is situated at a stone's throw from Strasbourg's main square Place Kleber. Visitors staying in December can enjoy the giant Christmas tree put up on the square every year. Despite the central location, hotel guests will not likely be disturbed by car noise, as the whole area is a pedestrian zone. The main tram crossing Homme de Fer is at only one minute walking distance, allowing for easy access to the European institutions or the train station. The picturesque Petite France quarter is only two minutes away, and the famous Gothic cathedral can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes. The location in the city center makes this hotel ideal for sightseeing and shopping trips.

Dining
Continental breakfast is served in the panoramic Züber salon or in your room. Despite its size the hotel does not have its own restaurant. However, this cannot be considered a lack, as it allows the traveler to explore the numerous fine restaurants in the vicinity. Gourmet visitors will note that the Maison Rouge hotel is the closest hotel to the restaurant "Au Crocodile", one of two restaurants in Strasbourg that have been awarded two Michelin stars. For the less adventurous, room service is available.

Rooms
The Maison Rouge hotel counts 142 rooms on 6 floors, in three categories: Classic, Confort and Grand Confort. In addition, the hotel boasts two stunning suites, the 80 square meter Ambassador Suite and the 50 square meter Consul Suite. They consist of a living room and a bedroom, and are so spacious that they would even allow for small informal business meetings.

The Classic category rooms have only a shower, the other categories have bathtubs. All rooms are equipped with mini bar, wireless internet, TV with cable reception and French pay TV channel Canal+, a safe, and air conditioning. The suites also let you enjoy your music in hi-fi stereo while relaxing in the ensuite bathroom's jacuzzi.

Hotel Services
The front desk staff speak French, English and German, and are eager to help hotel guests around the clock with all kinds of requests. They will take your laundry for the cleaning service or assist with restaurant recommendations and reservations. For business meetings, several seminar rooms are available. The largest of these will seat up to 50 persons. Travelers arriving by car have the possibility to park it in the nearby Kleber parking lot for a fee.
